You made it to Lands End. Its dark and the lights of Grand Junction are below you. the next seven miles
are pretty easy follow the main road to the Anderson lake aid Station this section is a gradual climb.
100 Milers you're at the Kannah Creek aid station mile 50. It's hotter than a volcano belching lava. There is a crazy lady with cow bells taking care of your water bottles. Is it a heat-induced hallucinatiion?
All you have to do is get up and climb a little over 4000' in 5.5 miles.
For the 100 milers Carson lake to Kannah creek . This section is mostly down hill with a few short steep climbs. Their was a fire on the lower part of the trail last year the day after the race. This is a section you will want to take extra water . The temps at the top could be in the high 60's and the bottom could be pushing the upper 90's.
This section is rough and it takes a lot longer than you think it should.
Section 4 for 100 milers Flowing Park to Carson Lake. This should be the last year for this section being on the road . A new trail is being built and should be ready for next year. this section is done in both directions.
First section on the course. the course profile shows it as a little over eleven miles it is closer to 12.1 miles.
for some reason when I download data in to the topo program it shortens the milage.
